Flowers and Birds

Welcome!

I decided at the last minute to join the Lunagirl Spring Flowers & Birds Challenge.
A few days ago I printed out some images from GeckoGalz and the Vintage Birds Freebie was just perfect. It had birds and flowers in almost all the the pictures!

No, you are not seeing double, I made a second card. Actually, I made an ATC with a bird image from the same sheet. Luckily it has flowers in it's beak.

I fussy cut the bird, added some glitter pen detail. The ATC base has some script background. Doily bits were distressed with Night Sky Versamagic ink, and added on opposite corners. A beautiful cerise paper rose adds a colour pop. The pretty bird flies onto the card to deliver it's blossom. Yes, only after I downloaded the photos did I realise that the bird's tail is not showing too well. Tomorrow, in daylight, I will take a better photo.

Birds and Flowers

Welcome!

I decided at the last minute to join the Lunagirl Spring Flowers & Birds Challenge.
A few days ago I printed out some images from GeckoGalz and the Vintage Birds Freebie was just perfect. It had birds and flowers in almost all the the pictures!

My card uses one of the images. I rolled the picture and added some Distress Ink. This was added onto 2 layers of marble paper and one satiny paper on a wine card. A gold sticker strip, ribbon and punched flowers with bead centers finishes off this card with a vintage feel.

Unfortunately there are shadows, it show the dimension, but maybe it is time to build that light box.

Shabby Chic Easter

Welcome!

The Gecko Galz have a Chabby Chic Easter Challenge going.

I really like their images, but I must be honest, Shabby Chic is a challenge for me.
I had a good look through my images and I found something I can use on the 'Color of Art' Sheet that was a freebie in the October 2015 Blog Hop.

The lady is holding an object that looks like an Easter Egg and I'm sticking to my observation.

Background: Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar Collection
Frame: Dark brown from stock
Ephemera: Doily, sticker, ribbon, beads

I hope that my interpretation is Chabby Chic enough for the challenge.
