Sassys Silver Snow

Welcome!

I'm a big fan of Sassy Studios Design!

There was a new release on the blog and a challenge to make a card using Silver and/or Gold.

I opted for silver. I used some embossed strips of mirror card as background.

My Sassy Snowman Pinup was coloured where needed. I layered her on glossy red & white papers.
A little boo-boo was distressed and turned into a little flurry of snow around the Sassy's head.
3 red rhinestones & some Diamond stickles adds a touch of bling.

Hope you like her!

Birthday Box.

Welcome!

When I received the Birthday cards with Children Digital Collage Sheet I couldn't decide
which 1 of the 8 sweet images to use.
Then I saw this fabulous tutorial for an exploding box!
I could use all 8 images on 1 project!

(I'll add more photos shortly)

Lunagirl is our fabulous sponsor and her DT has joined us for the challenge.

We have a fabulous sponsor, Lunagirl Moonbeams this week!

And we have a Twist in our Anything Goes Challenge: Birthdays!

But that is not all, the DT from Lunagirl joined us!
The result is a mixture of fabulous creations!

My first project is a Birthday card using Victorian Birthday Greetings Collage Set:

The collage sheet was printed on glossy photo paper.
I cut out 1 of the images, layered it on orange cardstock & crumpled gold paper.
This was added to a purple card.

Sew Thankful!

Welcome!

My second card today was made for the challenge at Digistamps4Joy : #80 Stitching (real or faux)

I covered a card with polka dot paper (shiny wrapping paper!)
I cut 2 layers of cardstock (red & white) and added some faux stitching.
The sentiment was added at the same time - own handwriting.
I decided not to colour the fabulous Corset and Frills, but I did fussy cut it.
The stitching on the corset ties in with the theme so well!

I'm also adding my card to the Fab 'n' Funky Anything Goes Challenge.

Have yourself a Sassy Christmas!

Welcome!

I've decided to enter 2 challenges hosted by Sassy Studio Designs.

The first is the Dare to Be SassyThursdays #203 where the theme is "Not your typical Christmas".

I have so much orange and purple cardstock left from the colour challenge that I hosted,
that it was an obvious choice for my card.
I found some DP printed with purple images (magazine freebie a few years ago).
All that was left for me to do was colour the gorgeous Santa Pin Up in purple and orange.
My pencils were used to do the task.
A final bit of bling was added with Stickles to give her outfit some sparkle.

I'm also entering her in the Guest Design Call for Dec 2013.

Dressed for the Party!

Welcome!

Time for another challenge at Crafting by Designs!

Rick St Dennis is our sponsor for the Anything Goes with a Christmas Twist! challenge.

This time of the year always reminds me of the Christmas functions and the search for the right dress to wear! That is the reason for my choice of the gorgeous Deco Ziegfeld Girl to create my card! I would love to have a dress like this to wear to a Christmas party:

I coloured her with various pencils, fussy cut her and then added some glitter.
The card was prepared with layers of dark green card, mottled cream card, some gold thread and a gorgeous gold ribbon. Miss Ziegfeld was added with foam tape.

Come and have a look at the gorgeous creations made by the Design Team and while you are there, enter the challenge!

Neutrals can be added. My image: Vase of Flowers
I decided on yellow flowers and a purple vase .

The yellow and purple mat is from my stash.

This is a close-up of my colouring.

Trick or treat?

Welcome!

I don't celebrate Halloween.
I don't like witches.

At The Cheerful Stamp Pad there is a new challenge on : Purple & Yellow.

We received 2 images from Jelly Park Digitals to play with.
One is a cute little witch. Yes, I said that.
She reminds me more of a South African character 'Liewe Heksie' than of a witch.
Or a little girl dressed up for Halloween.

I used purple and yellow and a bit of black to create my happy card.

Hope you like it!

Vintage tag

Welcome!

It's week 2 at The Cheerful Stamp Pad's Tag Challenge!

I've made a very simple Vintage Tag using images from Lunagirl, the generous sponsor of the challenge.

The background is sheet music that was offered as a freebie in the previous challenge. I covered the tag and sponged Distress ink in Vintage Photo and Victorian Victorian Velvet using a piece of sequin negative and stick on lace. Ribbon and a single pearl adds a final touch.

Hop over to The Cheerful Stamp Pad to enter your tag!

Glittering and Sassy!

Welcome!

The Anything Goes with Sassy Studio Designs challenge is on a roll over at Crafting by Designs.
I'm a big fan of Sassy Studio Designs, so I always enjoy working with Lindsay's images.

This time around I used Jessica Rabbit Sassy that was kindly provided by the sponsors, Sassy Studio Designs.

Oh my, she is just so sexy! I played with glitter that I've had for ages. After colouring and cutting out the image, I used clear glue to colour her glove and then sprinkled the silver glitter. This dried first, before I did the same with her dress and shoes and gorgeous red glitter.

While the dress was drying I made the background. I used the negative of a tag and backed it with black textured card from my stash. The card was covered with red shiny paper. A ruby red rhinestone add some extra sparkle. Jessica was added with dimension tape.

Isn't she just fabulous! That dress does it for her, don't you agree!

There is still time to enter the challenge! It is an Anything Goes challenge, so you can enter any of your current projects, or even 2 or 5 of them. Won't you love to win 4 SSD images!

Many folds!

Welcome!

I've been rather lazy posting the past month or so!

Have patience, I'll catch up, but for today, I would like to enter the 'A Card with Many Folds' Challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.

Cards with interesting folds intrigue me, but I must confess, when I get to the 15th little triangle or little shape that I must cut & measure, I always wonder what possessed me. Eventually, when it all gets together and everything is stuck down, I'm normally pleased with the results.

Here is my Diamond fold card using the Jaunty 1892 Hat Digistamp by RickStDennis  inside the card. The papers are bits from my stash. Final touch is an organza bow.

Here it is closed. ( I'm still working on a closure.)

I'm entering it in the Lunagirl Moonbeams Autumn Challenge - Autumn colours
