Welcome!
I decided at the last minute to join the Lunagirl Spring Flowers & Birds Challenge.
A few days ago I printed out some images from GeckoGalz and the Vintage Birds Freebie was just perfect. It had birds and flowers in almost all the the pictures!
My card uses one of the images. I rolled the picture and added some Distress Ink. This was added onto 2 layers of marble paper and one satiny paper on a wine card. A gold sticker strip, ribbon and punched flowers with bead centers finishes off this card with a vintage feel.
Unfortunately there are shadows, it show the dimension, but maybe it is time to build that light box.

Vintage tag
Welcome!
It's week 2 at The Cheerful Stamp Pad's Tag Challenge!
I've made a very simple Vintage Tag using images from Lunagirl, the generous sponsor of the challenge.
The background is sheet music that was offered as a freebie in the previous challenge. I covered the tag and sponged Distress ink in Vintage Photo and Victorian Victorian Velvet using a piece of sequin negative and stick on lace. Ribbon and a single pearl adds a final touch.
Hop over to The Cheerful Stamp Pad to enter your tag!

Welcome!
Time for a new challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad!
The theme: From the Past

A Beautiful Lady
Welcome!
Another creation made for the Crafting by Designs Anything Goes with a Twist : Vintage Easter and/or Spring challenge. Just a reminder, our generous sponsor is Nicecrane.
I was super excited when I saw these Ladies on Old Postcards so generously supplied by Nicecrane. A year or 2 ago, I saw lovely ATC's on Flickr, made by Riet van Piet. She added beads and embroidery to her photographs and I have always wanted to do something like that. My creation is not nearly what she created, and I need a lot of practice, but I like what I did. I printed the ladies on photo paper in "more or less" ATC size, and embellished the 'photo' with beads and embroidery thread.
Here is my first one:
I will add some more as time goes by...
Do join us in the challenge!

Good Friday Vintage ATC
Welcome!
Rather late than never!
At Crafting by Designs we have an Anything Goes with a Twist : Vintage Easter and/or Spring challenge. My creation is a little bit late...
Our generous sponsor is Nicecrane. Since the first day I laid my eyes on his creations, I have been a fan! Working with the gorgeous products is only a pleasure! Can I confess, I so enjoyed looking at the pretty pictures, I couldn't get going...ok, that is half the story, work got in the way of my craft time, but I had them printed out for at least a week...LOL.
My choice fell on the Fantasy Birds. It is always great to start an ATC with a lovely background, but it can be difficult too. I decided to add something Easter (the black stamped cross) and some music that can be Easter or spring. The music is in gold and didn't photograph too well. The stamp is 'Music Collage' from Stampabilities.
Well, very simple, my Good Friday ATC:
Here is a close-up where I tried to capture the music notes:
I hope that you will come & join the challenge!

Vintage Easter
Welcome!
It is time for another creation with the monthly template from the Duo Challenge Blog!
The template is for a fabulous easel card, in the shape of eggs! I played around with a few ideas and then decided to make a Vintage card, using the fabulous Fascinating Birds from Nicecrane as focus. The base of the card is brown and the contrast is teal, but it came out a bit blue. I added some ribbon, gold wax and flowers to finish my card.
Here is my easel card:
I'm also adding my card to Crafting by Designs.

Revealed!
Welcome!
This week is my first week on the Design Team at Jackson's Digital Expressions!
I'm am very exited to be on the team!
Robert Jackson has a wonderful collection of digital images, some real fun ones and some really beautiful images. I'm already enjoying playing with what I have received! Do visit the shop and feast your eyes!
The first card I made is a card in the CAS style. I'm using Robert Jackson's Vintage Hat V. I coloured it with my pencils (Various, watercolour and regular). I blended it lightly to keep the idea of texture on the hat and the jacket. The image was then layered on mirror board and royal blue card.
The background was created by using Penny Black Antique Pattern. (circa 2000!) inking it and stamping second and third impressions, not pressing very hard. That is to give that sort of faded, worn look, I hope. (LOL). Well, you can decide on this one.
I also added some beads on a piece of nylon thread that I wrapped around the card. The bottom bead was glued to the card. The beads are quite big, but I just like them with the card and it did remind me of the times when we did wear those large beads. In the end it creates a vintage feel.
The challenge at Jackson Digital Expressions is a Month Long Party where Anything Goes. There are weekly challenges on specific themes and there is a weekly draw for some fabulous images. So do pop over and add your fabulous creation! Hope to see you there
PS. This post is a bit late. I had some issues with my PC...took some time to sort out, also a bit inconvenient. But I'm back online!

Sew Vintage Silhouette
Welcome!
It's week 2 at The Cheerful Stamp Pad and the DT Team has come up with some more fabulous inspiration for this fun challenge.
My inspiration comes from my love of sewing. I've used images from The Graphics Fairy, a sentiment for Create with TLC and another one of the fabulous Silhouettes from Floppy Latte.
The vintage feel is to celebrate all the seamstresses in my family. My late grandmother made clothes for a living. She could produce the most fabulous gowns, including wedding gowns. All her daughters (my mother and aunts) were excellent needlewomen, doing sewing, knitting, embroidery and more. My aunt aged 82 does lace making as a hobby working with ultrafine yarns, creating all kinds of pretty things. Her angels are popular. My mother made most of our clothes when we grew up and she also knitted quite a few items. My dad's sister also still sews & crochet.
Thanks for popping in! I hope you will come and join us!
