Flowers and Birds

Welcome!

I decided at the last minute to join the Lunagirl Spring Flowers & Birds Challenge.
A few days ago I printed out some images from GeckoGalz and the Vintage Birds Freebie was just perfect. It had birds and flowers in almost all the the pictures!

No, you are not seeing double, I made a second card. Actually, I made an ATC with a bird image from the same sheet. Luckily it has flowers in it's beak.

I fussy cut the bird, added some glitter pen detail. The ATC base has some script background. Doily bits were distressed with Night Sky Versamagic ink, and added on opposite corners. A beautiful cerise paper rose adds a colour pop. The pretty bird flies onto the card to deliver it's blossom. Yes, only after I downloaded the photos did I realise that the bird's tail is not showing too well. Tomorrow, in daylight, I will take a better photo.

Joy!

Welcome!

And another ATC!
Not bad, since that is what I want to focus on some more!

The image I found here: Magic Moonlight

I partly covered the ATC base with patterned paper. The image was layered on black & kraft. The writing was done with a white pastel pencil. Some black & gold twine add a final touch.

I'm adding my ATC to the following challenge:

Sparkly Child

Welcome!

Another ATC!

I found this lovely image here: Magic Moonlight

The ATC base was covered with scrapbook paper with a little sparkle. I cut 2 pieces of paper from my stash in similar colours, stamped some dots with Versamagic Turquoise Gem and Hero Arts Tiny Jubilee Dots. Tiny punched flowers and Waterfall Stickles add the final touches.

Make it Sparkle

Welcome!

The new year has started and many ideas have been running through my head. I had the idea of creating more ATC's and doing all kinds of creative stuff. Well, at least I've started with the ATC's

At Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge blog there is always something to inspire.
In fact, one can actually peek at upcoming challenges and be ready, so hopefully I will be.

The challenge this week is 'Make it sparkle'. Well, that is quite straightforward, add some glitter and bling, and it sparkles...but, I wanted to think a bit further. What else sparkles? Eyes? Eyes seeing beautiful things or flowers or something special.

That is what my ATC is all about:

The ATC was started with a cut base card. I cut the 'eyes behind the veil' from an advert leaflet and covered the whole base. Then I added some stamping with a tiny doily stamp and Starlite Black Brilliance & Versamagic Cloud White. The ring was cut from another leaflet, but it didn't sparkle enough, so I added 3D glue and Crystal Ultrafine glitter. I punched some flowers from soft rose paper and added some glitter and rhinestones after sticking them down.

I'm adding my ATC to the following challenge

CASE an ATC2

Welcome!

What a fun challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC this week: CASE a DT Member.

This challenge really had my creative juices flowing! Just what I needed.

The second ATC I'm CASE-ing is Suzi's:

I have decided to use the same colours and some of the design elements (tiling and the heart).
The image is from Deedee's Digis: WholeLatteLove
The sentiment was written with a silver marker on black with a red card backing.

I hope I have inspired you too and that you will join the fun!

CASE an ATC 1

Welcome!

What a fun challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC this week: CASE a DT Member.

This challenge really had my creative juices flowing! Just what I needed.

The first ATC I'm CASE-ing is Jenn's:

A few days ago I have printed out the lovely Syrena from Sassy Studio Designs, and now I can use her! That is the main element I'm using. The hair I coloured in a similar reddish colour. I used an aqua background paper, and colouring as well a stamp pad to edge the fussy-cut image and ATC. Rhinestones and glitter adds my own final touches.

I hope my creation inspires you!

I would like to link my ATC to the following fun challenges:

Vintage America

Welcome!

Week 2 of the 'From the Past' challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.
Sponsor: Vintage Image Craft

I used an image with an American Theme for my ATC:

It is such a pretty image. I was going to use it on a card, but could not find the right papers. Maybe it will still become a card.

Hop over and take part in the challenge!

Balance

Welcome!

I'm on a bit of an ATC roll! It is because there are a few deadlines to meet and an ATC is a bit quicker to make, not always easier!

My ATC was made with the 4th image of the CDAC's Progressive Challenge : Hawaii Girl, kindly supplied by BacktoPaper.

The background I've done a while ago when I was playing with papers and background ideas, suing pages from magazines and brochures. The sentiment : 'Find your balance' was added then, but it still needed something. I coloured the girl in softer shades to contrast with the background. I like how she still stand out against the strong background. I used 3D tape to add her to the background.

For the Birds

Welcome!

The theme at Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge Blog for this week's challenge #88 is Birds, Nests and Eggs.

Here is another ATC made with an image from Vintage Image Craft that fits this challenge just perfectly.

This is just the prettiest poster girl advertising chocolate & cocoa! I didn't want to add much to it, just added a blue frame & some flat back pearls.

Birds & Babies

Welcome!

I've been on a bit of a roll with ATC's.

The theme at Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge Blog for this week's challenge #88 is Birds, Nests and Eggs.

While looking for images on Vintage Image Craft for an upcoming challenge I came across the cutest images that fits this challenge just perfectly.

The first ATC I made with an Easter image, probably a card. The image was printed on photo paper, then layered on blues & rust and finally on a cream ATC base. Little blue flowers cover the sentiment and liquid pearls is used for the flower centers as well as some decoration. Gold glitter is added to the spots of the eggs.

Another Bathing Beauty!

Welcome!

This is my third ATC for the Lunagirl Bathing Beauties challenge!

Lunagirl put a few images on her blog to add some inspiration for the challenge and this image is the one that started it for me. That is why I'm ending with this one! We are allowed 3 entries, so I will use the other images at a later stage.

It is an amusing image, rather risqué for that era, almost strange. I printed the image out a bit more saturated to pop the colours. Love my printer - can do this without touching the image as such! I like the almost garish look. It reminds me of old photo albums and old greeting cards as well.

The corners were made with gold card, the blue back was rubbed with gold metallic pastel and the gold bow echoes the bows on the girl's stockings.

I hope you will visit again!

Fly or Swim

Welcome!

ATC no 2 for the Lunagirl Bathing Beauties Challenge!

The image was supplied by Lunagirl, the little stickers from my stash, the wings a Penny Black stamp (Winged Angel - appropriate name!), the writing my own, the DP from my stash.

I always look at the collages of women with wings and I can never find what might work. The sizing was just right for this image and stamp. I stamped it 3 times, 3 different colours and in the end I really like how it turned out. I'm a bit of a CAS girl, so maybe this needs more in some peoples eyes...

Hope you will visit again!

Geisha Pinup

Welcome!

The Bathing Beauties Challenge at Lunagirl inspired me to make some ATCs.

My first ATC:

The image is from a collection of Vintage Geishas I downloaded a while ago from Far Far Hill. Their website is really worth a visit, they have some fabulous downloads!

Giftwrap was used as background paper, the image was printed on photo paper and added, 3 punched flowers with flatback pearl centres (cherry blossoms) adds some balance. Just to finish it all off I added 2 stamped images from PSX - cherry blossoms & a Good luck sentiment.

I hope you like my creation and will visit again!

Good Friday Vintage ATC

Welcome!

Rather late than never!

At Crafting by Designs we have an Anything Goes with a Twist : Vintage Easter and/or Spring challenge. My creation is a little bit late...

Our generous sponsor is Nicecrane. Since the first day I laid my eyes on his creations, I have been a fan! Working with the gorgeous products is only a pleasure! Can I confess, I so enjoyed looking at the pretty pictures, I couldn't get going...ok, that is half the story, work got in the way of my craft time, but I had them printed out for at least a week...LOL.

My choice fell on the Fantasy Birds. It is always great to start an ATC with a lovely background, but it can be difficult too. I decided to add something Easter (the black stamped cross) and some music that can be Easter or spring. The music is in gold and didn't photograph too well. The stamp is 'Music Collage' from Stampabilities.

Well, very simple, my Good Friday ATC:

Here is a close-up where I tried to capture the music notes:

I hope that you will come & join the challenge!

Taking Time...

Welcome!

The theme at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge is :Take Time for you!

There is one thing that I really love doing, and that is reading. The ultimate 'Me Time' is spending time with a book, some background music and no worries about time...

My ATC says all that: The part of the clock doesn't show any time, the red music score is the music that is just there in the background, some printed text for the books and reading. The back of the text paper is a collage effect with the flowers and some text showing. It really looked pretty and creates a relaxed feeling. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.  It is the perfect sentiment for any book lover. The rhinestones signifies golden moments with my books. (I had to decide between pearls and rhinestones, but 'Pearls of Wisdom' was maybe pushing it a bit...LOL).

Well, I hope you like it:

Here are the Rhinestones up close:

Cherry on Top!

Welcome!

It's week 2 of the 'Give me Five' challenge at the Cheerful Stamp Pad.

Meljen Designs let us play with a few images and this week I'm using Cherry Mouse for my ATC.

Ok, I must confess, I really do not like any kind of rodents, but this little critter is really cute and I even enjoyed colouring him. He will not make me like his fellow live family, but I don't mind having him around. VBG! The background is my own scribbling with fineliners.

Here is my ATC:

Hope you like it and will join in the challenge!

I'm entering my ATC in the Sugar and Spice challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge. I'm sure that the cherry will qualify as 'all things nice' ...

Find Five...

Welcome!

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenges made me think a bit with their F is for... Challenge.

Everyone who knows me, knows that I'm a compulsive reader. I read anything & everything. Getting a challenge like this, made me grab my dictionary and read through the F words...well, I'm still busy, but I took a break and made my ATC.

I challenged my self to add Five elements/things/images that start with F.

See if you can find them before I give you the list:

Here is the list:
1. Flower (rose)
2. Fancy Font (background)
3. Feathered Friend (little bird)  - coloured with my pencils & left it unblended.
4. Fern (faintly in background)
5. Five dragonFlies (Ok, I used a bit of artistic licence here VBG)

How many did you get?
Yes, I had FUN Finding Five Falderals (fandangles, flourishes: little things) to add to my ATC.
Image is Flitter (another F!) from A Day for Daisies.

Hope you are inspired too!

I'm adding my ATC to the 'Anything Goes' challenge no 17 at ATC's & Cards with Attitude - I think my ATC has got enough Attitude to stand it's own ground.
