Steampunk with Bling!

Welcome!

It's week 2 of the Steampunk challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad!
The Octopode Factory is our generous sponsor this forthnight.

I decided to use the Steampunk Lady Flo again but bling her up a bit! I used the same Steampunk background and added some metallic board cut with a fancy scissors. Some metallic washers, rhinestones and Sparkles were added for more bling. Lady Flo is ready for her Steampunk Party!

Do join in our fun challenge and stand a chance to win a $10 gift certificate from Octopode Factory! See you there!

Golden Memories

Welcome!

It is cold in Cape Town and that is the half the reason why I fell in love with Shawna Latte from MayzyArt the moment I set my eyes on her! The other half is: coffee. :)

The theme for this week at Jackson's Digital Expressions is Anything Goes! The Altered Art Team is Hosting so anything altered goes too! Remember, it is a Month Long Celebration with weekly draws, so get that project linked up!

But wait, I got sidetracked and almost forgot to show you the fabulous Shawna!

I covered a small notebook with gold paper to start with and then added a green ribbon plus a bow. Shawna was coloured with my pencils and then blended to get a lovely effect.  I stayed with warm colours. I added some Copper around the edges and some chalk on the background. The image was then layered onto brown and coppery papers and added to the cover. 3 rhinestones add some more bling!

Here she is a little nearer:

Well, by now you know that Mayzy is sponsoring us this week. Do visit her store, she has a lovely variety of images available, even a few 3-packs & 5-packs!

Do join us at Jackson's Digital Expressions this week you can stand in line to win! The design team has put together a wonderful selection to really get you going! Hope to see you there!

And of course, do not forget to visit the Robert Jackson store as well!

I'm adding my project to the MayzyArt Cardless Challenge.

Sassy Relay Bring the Bling!

It's Round 2 of the Sassy Studio Designs Relay and it's time to bring on the bling!

We received the sexy sassy Samantha for finishing round 1 and I fell in love with her.
I printed 3 images and ended up colouring all 3!
Who to use?
Why not all 3?

My first background didn't work, the second isn't perfect, but the extra glitter fixed that, I think.

Update! After looking at the background again (next day - VBG), I realised that it looks like those large picture windows in highrise buildings with the city lights in the background, all flickering in the night...so it turned out quite cool, thanks to my subconscious mind. Well, I did make the card late at night.

But Oh My, my usual nightmare...how to photograph these cards with bling. So yes, it is at a funny angle, but you can see the bling I added to their dresses & shoes. The jewelery also got it's fair share...and of course the background!

And here is another angle:

Do go and feast your eyes on all the blingy DT creations! And get inspired to add some bling to your life!

Autumn Fairy

I used the Autumn Fairy by Gurukitty Designs for my second card in the CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge Round #3.

My choice of colours were browns and some purples. I added a bit of glitter foil and some bling.

A close-up to show the glitter bits.

Hope you like her!

Duo Challenge September

Rather late than never, my little gift box for the September Duo Challenge #9:

My box was made with Scrapbook paper & decorated with organza ribbon and a flower made with a cut-out motif, cardstock and a blingy brad.

This is a lovely box for those small gifts.

Anything goes week 2

It's the second week of Anything Goes at Art with No Boundaries. I decided to play with my Solitaire Leather and Rivets, but I went blingy.

I like the mix of fuchsia and black with a touch of silver and white almost as much as I like red and black:

Here is a close-up for you to enjoy all the bling I've added!

Hope you like it! A little different than my usual style.

I've entered my card in following fun challenge:
